When Internship Says No to Holiday (9TH WEEK)

This is the second week of my internship at Lifestyle Network. I just noticed that the office hours there is just like at NMI wherein most of the employees come to work at 11 AM. This week, I was asked to photocopy a document. It was really technical. AND IT MADE ME FEEL STUPID. I couldn’t operate the photocopying machine well, not only because it has a password but also because it was my 1st time to photocopy a document all by myself. Good thing that a co-intern from another school was there to help. It almost took us 20 minutes before we were able to photocopy the material. Then I was tasked to go to the HR and Finance Department to have some people sign in their record book.







August 19, 2010. Quezon City Day.


Yet there’s no reason not to go to internship today. As I arrived at the office, there was only one employee I saw there until Miss Cheska (our coordinator) arrived. I was assigned to ingest seven tapes (Ateneo Art Awards, Team Manila, Body Shop, and shoots in Davao)at the Editing Room (Edit 27).















I was amazed to see that there were certain editing rooms for each program/show. The way to the editing rooms looks like a labyrinth so I really had a hard time in finding the editing room whenever I go out. Anyway, one video tape lasts for about 45-50 minutes. So for one tape, I had to wait 1-2 hours before the ingesting finishes. There were also some errors while capturing the tape that’s why it lasts for more than an hour before it’s done. Yeah, it was boring but I had to find a way to entertain myself. So instead of just waiting for the ingesting to finish, I also took the opportunity to watch the videos there. And presto! I enjoyed a bit. :D This week, we were also assigned to go to at least one production shoot at Rockwell (tentative venue). Hmm, I can say that I had fun this week since I was given the opportunity to do the ingesting of the tapes. HANDS ON. :)
