Internshopping

The previous week, I went food tripping for a food article to be posted on the network’s electronic newsletter. Since I could not fit all the goodies in one article, I decided to come up with four. But even before finishing all these, I am already scheduled to start working on my second topic for another article.

It was a Wednesday morning of my second week when I saw the Operations Engineer in charge of the Loop. He’s the same guy that made the arrangements with the food stores for my last subject. I went up to him and decided to personally request his assistance for my next assignment. After lunch, I rang him up and got the go signal.

It’s amazing how the ELJCC building has turned into a mini mall where you can just find everything. Aside from the food court and restaurants, employees and visitors could come by and check-out the salon, seasonal bazaar, gym, drug store, bank a newly open skin care center and other stores available at the ground floor. But for my article I’ll be featuring the different shops and boutiques at the Loop such as Limelight where one can find stuff from Girlshoppe, J&B Collection and others, Greencap, Elaisa and several more. I’m not quite sure how this article will go, given that I am not a fashion expert or anything. But who cares? As long as we’re talking about clothes, bags and accessories, I’m so in for it.

Since the weather has been pouring out on us, I think it’s nice if we find a few pieces that would help our attire look less depressing as the weather. With a cam, a pen and a notebook, I stopped by to check out whether these stores and boutiques sell out stuff that could brighten up our gloomy rainy day outfits. Yes, I found a lot especially for the ladies. I really had fun window shopping. The staff and managers of the stores were very accommodating. They laid down their finest and all that caught my eyes. I almost felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, only I don’t get to try on and keep what I shopped for.

When I got back up at the office I realized that I picked out a number of items that are too big for one article to handle. Hence, I trimmed the selection down a little bit and started editing the photos and working on the piece.

I was continuously preoccupied with the articles for quite some time. At the end of the week,I saw my first article on The Loop uploaded on e-frequency.
