TV internship (5th Week)

For this week I really didn't do much because I was not able to go to the office last Monday because of my migraine. In general what I did for the week is transcription and timecoding of tapes and CF cards. I was really concerned about one of the case study's in the next episode. An old man who lives in a place where there are no medical support for people. The old man has been abandoned by his family and only his 5 year old grandson takes care of him. His condition is really worse, he doesn't even take a bath anymore. I have known that 'The Correspondents' also help the people they shoot even though they don't show it on T.V.. And that I think is the real spirit of helping.

After that I was also tasked to help arrange the travel costs for their shoot for the next episode. I didn't know that getting a budget for a shoot is going to be that hard. The accounting people are not that pleasant and you really need to fill-out a lot of forms. Aside from that you also have to make sure that you have gotten the best rates meaning affordable that it would not be over the budget of the show for an episode.
