SAVORING EACH MOMENT

My Week 3 at GMA 7
News and Public Affairs Department, Born to be Wild (BTBW)

August 2, 2010 (Monday)

I came to GMA 7 early because I need to reserve equipments for the following week’s shoot to Cebu. It’s Production Coordinator’s task but since I’m an intern, she asked me to do it. She taught me how to fill up TFRs (Technical Facilities Reservation Forms). She told me that the earliest bird catches almost all the worms. The bird pertains to Production Coordinators and the worms, the equipments to be reserved. In case you can’t borrow any equipment, you will have to rent outside. That will increase your production cost and you will be reprimanded by the boss (EP).

The Production Coordinator, again, asked me to rush a late TFR to the next building. When I got there, the TFR was handed back to me because it lacked the EP’s signature. Lesson learned: I should have checked it. The EP was in our cubicle so I had to return and ride the elevator again.
Highlight: I saw Japhet my former co-intern! He told me that he volunteered as talent to reenact in “Aha” and was given 500 pesos. (So ito talaga ang highlight no?! haha. Pwedeng pangraket  )

August 6, 2010 (Friday)

BTBW Staff usually come to work LATE. Anyway, they have no definite time when to go to office, as long as at the end of the week, they have an output. When I arrived to the cubicle, Ate Marie (a researcher) was sleeping. Not to be obtrusive, I just opened one of the computers and researched for possible stories for BTBW. I should have done something else, acads stuffs etc. but I decided to focus on something I need to at that time. Savor every moment! I was in the office so I did what I need to. Work time is for work! I was able to look for 4 stories, printed it and left it to the EP’s table. I could no longer wait for her because I had class that afternoon. Updates on my next entry!
