WEEK 9 Blog

For these days, I went and stayed at the Channel V editing room and studio. Nung Monday, I was asked by Kuya Emman to fix the tapes for the episodes of V - scene. These are the tapes that they had already edited so I had to name and label those properly so it will be ready for use.
After that, Ms. Jo asked me to research on Charice Pempengco’s clippings. The entire team of Channel V is working on this because the Pinay Superstar is the featured artist. They conducted interviews and they are now working on the editing part. Ms. Jo needed those clippings for the entire video presentation which will be sent to Channel V Hongkong. These clippings are those headlines from local and international magazines which can be used in the video. Major requirement was to look for the headlines with pictures or photos that can be legally used by Channel V. It was a tiring task because facing the internet and researching on that are both tiring and challenging. I think this is related to what Mary ( classmate, friend and fellow intern at V ) was doing for Charice. Kaloka lang si Charice dahil kumapit na sa akin yung kanta niyang pyramid, kei?
The next day, I just continued what I was doing in the research for Charice Pempengco’s clippings. I was able to add more to the set that I previously finished and some had photos. I was also asked to look for pictures of Charice with Oprah Winfrey, Celine Dion and David Foster. This seemed to be simple but it is not. Most of the pictures available in the internet are with water marks. It only means that it has a certain logo in the photo and it is noticeable once used in the video. Another is that most of the pictures are not that good. Some are blurred, unclear and unflattering to be used. Sa kabuuan, malamig sa studio, naninigas na kung daliri ko kasi nakatapat sa akin ang Aircon, noong una masarap pero parang feeling ko nafefreeze na ako kaya hindi na masaya.
In the afternoon, I was asked by Ms. Kate to be Encore’s PA. I was the only intern present at the studio so basically I was the only on doing the errands. It was so literal that I was the one who ordered for the food of the Radio Active Sago Project members. After that, I also provided their bottled waters and the set list and line up of the members. I was also asked to stay inside the studio, while they are taping, to take some pictures of the band for Channel V’s documentation purposes. After the Radio Active Sago Project, I was also the PA for the taping of Ely Buendia and the Dope Militia performance. I did almost the same things except that I was asked to look for the group in a food house two blocks away from the V building because they were late. They arrived at 8.30 when the call time was set at 7pm. I was also asked to buy food for the staff of the music instrument thingy they hired. I bought them pandesal and cheese. Diyos ko, akala ko ako pa ang magpapalaman, haller!!!!!
The heat of the light and the pagod for running some errands made me feel exhausted. But it was fun, bonggang Pa lang naman ako.
