I'm excited to get back to work at the PR Department after being away for a week!

When I arrived at the office, the Corp Comm Division was having a meeting. I was left wandering and surfing the internet while the bosses were away. :) After the meeting, I was told to cover an event later in the afternoon of that day. I was clueless with what the event would be.
And so the right time came, I went to the Dolphy Theater together with Sir Ryan (ABS-CBN Corp Comm Photographer) for the Kalinga Kapamilya Grand Launch and Volunteers' Fair.

I was asking them about the program and they were very enthusiastic in answering my questions (photo above).

To continue being “In the Service of the Filipino people,” ABS-CBN integrates all its public service efforts through the Kalinga Kapamilya program formally launched last Monday at the Dolphy Theater.
Kalinga Kapamilya, according to one of its prime movers Fr. Tito Caluag, is designed to encourage volunteerism among employees to provide public service to fellow Filipinos. This was inspired after the active participation that was given to the relief operations of the Kapamilya network during the plight of Typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng.
Employees can choose from the ABS-CBN integrated public service programs which include DZMM’s Takbo Para sa Kalikasan, Buntis Congress, Maligayang Paslit, DZMM Medical Mission (OPLAN MM), Kapamilya Shower na!, ABS-CBN DART (Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team), E-Media (Education through Multimedia), Sagip Kapamilya, and ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs’ Public Service Unit.
HR Representative Dine Laurena said that the program will enable easy mobilization of employee volunteers in response to the needs of the Kapamilyas. She also added that it can also be a venue for employees to exercise their personal advocacies and put those into practice.
Present in the grand launch were ABS-CBN Chairman and CEO Eugenio Lopez II, President and COO Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN Publishing Head Ernie Lopez, Mr. Mark Mendoza, Father Tito Caluag. ABS-CBN artists Paul Jake Castillo, Tibo Jumalon, Pia Romero, also attended to support the program’s noble causes.
Kalinga Kapamilya will expand and reach out to the families and friends of ABS-CBN employees in the near future.
