WEEK 1 (JUNE 22, 23, 24, 25) Radio internship+ a lil of TV internship app

My first week of radio internship is not that special and challenging. The fact of the matter is i do minimal works for the station. The premise is that the OC (old curriculum) students have already taken the programs of DZUP either as scriptwriters or producers. and so i am left with no choice but to suit myself inside the TD's booth together with other OC and NC interns. though the booth is sometimes crowded, we still accommodate other interns who wish to lessen the prescribed 50-hour of work in the station. "the more, the merrier."

came Wednesday and at last i was able to go on board and on air. this is because, DZUP Radio Circle an org to which i belong, produces an hour-long program: Cinco Arrriba, a game show and Samahang Bidang-Bida, a talk show.

apart from working on my hours for DZUP, i am also working on my letter of intent and resume for TV internship at this week. i have sent resumes and letters to almost 5 companies and 3 non-dramatic, entertainment directors but still no one has replied or confirmed. Ma'am Data told me to keep on calling the recipients of my documents but they also keep on telling me that they'll just call me whenever they have finalized their lists, some interns have finished their work or if they are not busy for a project anymore.

i never thought that internship application will be

this hard. last summer i thought that it'll be easy since i have good grades and

that i am from UP. but now i realized that i am terribly WRONG.I have seen how

companies instruct us, heard how they answered us through the phones and observed

how hard they can be on students with every requirement that they ask from us. i am

hoping that by the third week of July i will be able to start my TV internship already. as

of the moment, i am still waiting, PATIENTLY WAITING for positive

responses. PATIENCE, GOOD VIBES AND PRAYERS MUST BE THE WAY.

good thing i was able to accumulate almost 15 hours of work for DZUP this week. at least

i was able to lessen the required 200-hour of internship work. I'll be counting 34 hours starting

next week because that's the total number of hours that i have to work for DZUP. and after that

hahaha... BYE BYE DZUP, AM DONE WITH YOU!
