IdealMinds - Week 1 (Chamy)

Week one at IdealMinds, an independent production house which produces materials for flippish.com and Go Negosyo (QTV11), among others, was fun for most parts of my 1st week. This week's highlight would be the day I got to assist a Go Negosyo Production Manager and I was even an extra, again, on one of the scenes with Ms. Gladys Reyes. Buti nalang maganda suot kong damit non. HAHA.

I had the chance to do a lot of PA work during that day (my first day!). From buying Ms. Gladys's lunch, to putting on everyone's lapel microphones, to setting and cleaning up the set. During takes, I had a lot of questions for the writer because the style of writing was very different from what was taught during class. The script was sort of spoon feeding the host, and sounds very scripted. But I can say that the shots and the construction of the set was interesting.

My first day was pretty remarkable because this was the day of the grand brownout in metro manila because of basyang. We were able to shoot 4 episodes of Go Negosyo with only a generator, without aircon and no food for 6 hours but Nissin Wafer. The tech team was great, my PM was great and they were all having fun teasing each other and keeping themselves energized until the very end.

(That day I was also assigned to a new supervisor. There's not much intensity now, but I hope we'll shoot soon.)
