TV internship (4th week)

I now have a total of 90 hours of TV internship and I can say that I have learned quite a lot not only from the network but also from the experiences of the people who consist it. For this week I lie lowed a bit to give way to my other subjects but I guess the highlight of my week is getting closer with the producers, researchers and production assistants of the show I am working with which is 'The Correspondents'.

I had dinner with one of the researchers of 'The Correspondents' and it is motivating to hear her inspiring stories of why she continues to do this job despite the pressure and stress she was under. She said to me that achieving something that you want is never going to be easy because if it is then it is not worth wanting in the first place. She also told me of her fresh grad job application stories, that there was a point in her life that she was thinking of accepting any job because she hasn't had any luck in getting a job in the media industry, but just on the day that she was finally giving up, she got a call from ABS-CBN and it was truly an answered prayer for her and that was why even though it's hard and stressful, it does not seem as such for her because this is her passion and if you do something that you love then you'll feel like you're not working at all because you're enjoying and she added that that is what's important. Because it will definitely show in your performance and sooner or later people will notice it, and time will come you will get paid higher than what you work for, in a job that you love and what could be more perfect than that.

I really loved this heart to heart talk as she gave me advices for my future career plans. Aside from this talk we also had a lot of laughter in the office, we were really getting close with our executive producer and other staff members of 'The Correspondents'. The atmosphere in the office feels like home and not a stressful workplace at all, and I really admire them for having that. I can really see teamwork rather than competition between the staff members.

I was also happy this week for I saw my name in the credits of our recent episode entitled 'SUPER UOD', this I can say is my first major episode for they really let me be a part of their team and participate in the pre-production and production aspects of the show. :) I really did not gave much attention to credits until I saw my name in it haha! Fulfilling much! lol
