Two at a time

August 17, 2010- Tuesday

Today was our recording of the merchandising plug of the new program of the CHE Alumni which was assigned to me. I originally created the script with me and Kim as the talents since I thought that maybe Andrea would not be able to come. Good thing our recording was moved from yesterday to today afternoon because there were a lot of people who reserved the recording room as well.

I was afraid that Kim and my merchandising plug would sound alike and the listeners may get confused since we were also the talents in it and they were both programs from the College of Home Economics. So I tapped Andrea if she could be the other talent and good thing she said yes.

However, when it was already our time to record, which was 2-3 PM; we found out that some old curriculum students were still recording and that they have reserved the room until 4 PM. Turned out that Kuya L had confused our reserved timeslots. Good thing I had talked to one of them and requested if we can use the recording room even in 30 minutes since we will not take that long. They agreed and asked if we will be able to finish by 3 PM. I said yes. However, before that, Glenn and Faye asked me if they could record after us since they were not able to reserve the room. I agreed so Andrea, Kim, and I had to record in a lesser time to be able to make way for them including to the other students who came first.

We finished in less than 30 minutes but I stayed because Glenn and Faye didn’t know much how to handle the Garage Band so I acted as the Spinner and Technical Director. After recording, it was also me who did the transferring and converting of the recorded tracks for them. And just before the previous students came, we were able to finish recording for two programs.
