For the third week, here's what I did:
1. Deliver tapes to the editing house
2. Photocopy some request forms
3. Label tapes
4. Clean the office
5. Transcribe
6. Accompany PAs to different departments
7. Organize files in the office
Routine ko na siya, to check what I can do for the team. I'm starting to get used to the nature of the office, though masungit mga tao, we are crowded and I often feel na "pampasikip" ako dun haha.
SIGNIFICANT LEARNING: Take the initiative. :)
I realized, I can always do something to help, kahit simpleng paglabel ng tapes. They're all too busy, all too stressed out that sometimes I just feel like giving them a free back massage, kahit masungit sila. haha Sa sobrang pagkabusy nila, maski mga pangalan naming mga interns hindi na nila matandaan, weekly tinatanong nila kami ng pangalan namin haha.
Life in the public affairs is hard, but for people who enjoy it, it's worth it, I see it in them <3. The stress is worth it if you love your job, if you accept its pros and cons with all your heart. Working for a program does not only require you to accomplish your tasks, it requires your whole heart and dedication, because your outputs define the program. You do not create just to earn, but to constantly prove that you are deserving of the job.
