ABS-CBN Corp Comm (Week 9)

Today was my pseudo-last day of OJT—pseudo because I still have to return next week to present a PR plan for Studio 23. The PR plan thefinal requirement for the ojt program of ABS-CBN’s PR Department.

After I did today’s “Issues of the Day,” Ms. Christelle made me write the press release for the Sept. 19 episode of Us Girls and the press release to be included in the media kit for Alyna’s press launch. Alyna is one of the newest afternoon dramas of ABS-CBN.

At 12 noon, Ms. Christelle, Sir Jan and Sir Kane, together with us, the three interns that day (Rea, Allen, me) all went up to the restaurant at the 14th floor of ELJ Tower. This restaurant is where the press conferences of ABS-CBN usually take place. The press conference of Kokey was scheduled today.
We assisted in the registration booth and prepared the media kits for the press people. The press kits of the show were huge—a.k.a. contained a lot of freebies from sponsors. Members of the press are really lucky. Though their salaries are fairly low, at least they get a lot of freebies and money from the networks.
